U.D.O.: 'Mastercutor' Enters German Chart At No. 39
May 30, 2007U.D.O.'s new album, "Mastercutor", has entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 39 — the highest German chart position in the band's history.
"Mastercutor" was released on May 18 via AFM Records. Several extra songs were recorded for the CD, with different territories getting their own bonus cuts. The Japanese edition of the CD comes with the track "Man a King Ruler", the Russian album includes "Platchet Soldat", and both feature the song "Streets of Sin". The European limited-edition version of "Mastercutor" includes the songs "Borderline" and "Screaming Eagles".
U.D.O.'s video for its new single, "The Wrong Side of Midnight", has been posted at YouTube. According to a press release, the clip was filmed in a closed tunnel section near Stuttgart which was built during the second world war. Dirkschneider was reportedly attacked by a flock of bats during the shoot. The video's storyline: A man that was kept imprisoned and used for horrible experiments for several decades mutates into a creepy monster before escaping and subjecting the general population to some of the same atrocities that he underwent during his confinement.
U.D.O.'s last album, "Mission No. X", was issued in September 2005 via AFM Records.
